Moaning Cavern holds the largest vertical chamber in a public cavern that you can see in California. In fact, it's so big, it could hold the entire Statue of Liberty!
We offer 45-minute guided Family Tours, which are suitable for the entire family, 165-foot rope Rappels ($59 each ages 12 and up) into the cave, which are the most thrilling way to see the main chamber, and challenging 3-hour caving Adventure Trips ($119 each, ages 12 and up) beginning with the optional rappel ($69 each without rappel).
Above ground we have picnic tables, a nature trail, gift shop, gemstone mining, gold panning and geode cracking which is very popular with children.
