Description | In the late 1800's, West Fourth Street was the crown jewel of Williamsport. The city was home to more millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the country. The lumber barons contributed to the boom in home and church construction. Today visitors can take a self-guided tour viewing the exterior of these beautiful old Victorians. Brochures are available at the Lycoming County Visitors Bureau at 210 William Street. Group tours with a local guide can also be arranged by contacting the visitors' bureau. |
