| Description | Standing tall on the banks of the Smoky Hill River, the McPherson County Old Mill Museum preserves the early heritage of McPherson County. The museum collects, preserves, researches, exhibits and interprets materials related to this heritage with special emphasis on the period from 1870 to 1910. Across the street, Heritage Square is home to seven historic buildings, Santa Fe Locomotive #735, a wooden windmill and Heritage Center containing business exhibits, a livery stable and farm machinery. The Swedish Pavilion located at the north end of the square was brought over from Sweden for the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. |
