The most spectacular feature of the park itself, located in the beautiful evergreen forests of the Pit River country, is Burney Falls. The never-changing water volume over the falls is what makes it so unusual. A short hike down to the falls provides great photo opportunities, a chance to view wildlife, and feel the cool refreshing spray of the falls. The park also features a campground, cabins, picnic sites, trails and other facilities with two miles of frontage along Burney Creek and nearby Lake Britton, where one can swim, fish boat and water-ski.
