| Description | The Port of Sheboygan has the best conditions for cold, deep waters just a few miles from shore. April and early June Coho and Rainbows make for excellent training conditions with their lighter weight, airborne acrobatics and raging twists. And as late June starts the season of warmer waters rolling in through July and August, just forget that heavenly blend of even bigger 10 to 20 pound Coho, Rainbows, Browns, Lake Trout and the king of 'em all, Chinook Salmon. If you pull a trophy out at this point, you'll want witnesses because it's a pretty sure bet it will be a record. Just around the corner, August, September and October make way for spawning season. Lake Trout will weigh in up to a respectable 30 pounds. Rainbows, Coho and Browns will come in between 10 and 20, and there might be a King Salmon dying for a place on your trophy wall topping out at near 40 pounds (of course, the smaller end of the Chinook curve comes in around 20 pounds). A Sheboygan Charter boat knows these waters and knows what YOU need to know to reel in your limit catch of fish. Full licensed, each charter is fully equipped with safety gear and fishing gear. The average cost of a half-day charter fishing venture is $300 to $400 for the boat. There's a legal maximum of six fishermen per boat. First mates work for tips onlyù20% is customary. A two-day Great Lake fishing license is $14. |
