| Description | Del Ray Artisans invites young campers ages 8-12 years old for “Kids Just Want To Have Fun!” Summer Art Camp. Participants will spend a week creating art instructed by a professional local artist who will lead them on an immersive creative journey in painting, sculpting, journaling and other art activities. During nice weather, students will have outdoor time. All artist supplies are provided. Later in August, an online exhibition highlighting the two weeks of art camp will be available for parents, friends and community.
Choose between Week One (July 19–23) and Week Two (July 26-30). Both camps are almost full! Walk-ins are not allowed; participants must register in advance at DelRayArtisans.org/event/art-camp-2021
Art Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students must bring their own lunch. Class size is limited to 8 children per week, and costs is $325 per child; scholarship support is available. Contact Gallery@DelRayArtisans.org for an application.
Instructors have taken the ALX Promise pledge and follow the current pandemic policies in accordance with the CDC and the State of Virginia during summer camps. Face masks are required. Students will be spaced 6' apart in the gallery and will have separate art supply bins. Shared supplies will be properly cleaned and hand sanitizers used frequently.
