Description | The Kenosha Public Museum, located on the shores of Lake Michigan between Chicago and Milwaukee, is a natural history and fine arts museum. The two-story museum's permanent galleries include cabinets of curiosities, interactive science and ecosystem exhibits, and a display of the mammoth excavated in Kenosha County. Rotating exhibits feature fine art including watercolor paintings.
In addition to four galleries, the museum has a Field Station - a kids activity area with hands-on experiences. There is also a gift shop with jewelry, accessories, toys, Kenosha and Wisconsin themed items and gifts from around the world. Free parking, amazing views of the Lake, walking distance to two other museums and dining, and access to the city's historic streetcar round out a fun day at the museum. |
