| Description | The Indiana Uplands Wine Trail is composed of nine wineries in the unglaciated area of Indiana known as the Uplands. The Uplands area covers the region from Bloomington south to Starlight, IN. The unique topography of this area provides special growing conditions. The wines produced on the trail are distinctive and excellent. The wineries on the trail are Best Vineyards, Brown County, Butler, Carousel, French Lick, Huber Orchard and Vineyard, Oliver, Turtle Run and Winzerwald wineries. The wine trail holds four events during the year, Winter in the Uplands, Chocolate Lover's Weekends, March Gladness and Toast to Spring. Details and ticket information is available on the website at www.indianauplands.com. The Uplands Wine trail has a passport program each year. Visitors who complete a passport by receiving a stamp at each of the nine wineries will receive a complimentary gift and an entry into the grand prize drawing at the Vintage Indiana Wine Festival in Indianapolis on the first Saturday in June. |
