This one of a kind orchestrated light show has 130 trees and over 50 thousand lights floating on the lake in the center of the Village.


Every Weekend in December

• Holiday Light Show on the lake

• Magic Talking Tree..free event

This magical tree awakens every weekend to talk with the children and adults alike.

• Story Time with Mrs. Claus free event
1:30 - 4:30 pm
Mrs. Claus reads stories to the children in her Christmas Cottage.

• Christmas Train Ride cost $2.00 per person

The Holiday's can be a magical time of year and nothing captures that more than Historic Smithville. Visiting the Village in December has become a family tradition for many and all you have to do is visit it once to see why. The cobble stone paths leading up to a the specialty shops somehow slow down this hectic season and gives way to shopping and browsing for that special person. The magic Talking tree it is right in the center of all the fun and busy talking with both adults and children. If you ask the Magic Tree where Mrs. Claus is it will give you directions to her Christmas cottage where she entertains her small guest by reading them Christmas stories. When the sun goes down it's time to grab a hot chocolate and head to the boardwalk where you can gaze across the lake to watch a light show the likes you have never seen. These 130 trees seem to dance across the lake, chasing and blinking The stores are now out lined in small lights and the carousel is running round and everything feel's well...magical.
