	Name Harry S Truman Little White House State Heritage Landmark Address 111 Front Street corner of Front Street and Caroline Street Key West, FL 33040 Brief Description Winter White House of President Harry Truman Type Attraction Category Historic Site Description Built in 1890 as naval officers quarters, the 9000 square foot historic house features 85-90% original furnishings purchased by the Navy for use by President Truman. Truman used the estate for 175 days of his presidency. Other presidents who have used the site as a retreat, White House or summit location include William Taft, Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. One hour tours offered daily 9 to 4:30 every 15-20 minutes. An acre of botanical gardens recreate the 1949 site plan. Includes free exhibits at entrance as well.
