DescriptionStand in the footsteps of President Abraham Lincoln where he arrived in Gettysburg on the evening of Nov. 18, 1863–the night before delivering his immortal Gettysburg Address. Admire the classic Italianate style architecture, popular in the United States in the 1850s. This historic depot was restored in 2006 to its stately appearance. Hear the story of the station and the important part the railroad played before and after the Battle of Gettysburg. Make a quick, convenient and memorable stop. The station is free to visit and offers a self-guided tour featuring exhibits and artifacts relating to Lincoln and the railroad’s role in the history of Gettysburg.
