Alexis Gershwin’s music takes us back to a quieter, sweeter time marked by poetic and audible lyrics. Such is true with her most ambitious endeavor yet, teamed with acclaimed musical director Steven Applegate to recreate some of the most timeless music of all- that of her uncles George and Ira Gershwin. The show will include Ms. Gershwin’s own wonderful arrangements of Gershwin favorites like A Foggy Day, The Man That Got Away, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Embraceable You and I Can’t Get Started, just to name a few.
