| Description | Free outdoor lawn concert featuring the Latino Son Project at the historic Butler-McCook House & Garden. Bring your chair and picnic dinner, or the Lucky Taco truck will be on hand for those interested in purchasing food. The house will be open between 5:30 and 6:30 for house tours. Free. This program was made possible by a grant from the Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and the Evelyn W. Preston Memorial Trust Fund.
Latino Son Project is a band fromed in 2011 by musicians from different Latin American countries, including Columbia, Venezuela, Chile and Puerto Rico, in order to rescue the music of South American and the Caribbean. They have teamed up to provide a new sound, incorporating new trends and styles, to the public. Latino Son Project performs a variety of different styles, from the traditional music of the Andean South Ameria to Jazz. |
