DescriptionOne of the last old-fashioned, hand-made candy makers in the country is located in Woodinville, Elegant Gourmet (www.elegantgourmet.com) and starting last year they are offering free tours to show the public how hard candy was made a hundred years ago.

The process is fascinating and fun for both kids and parents alike. The kids sees the whole process from start to finish. In addition to introducing children to the amazing sights and smells, the company interjects lessons in math on school tours.

Currently, tours are open to parties of eight or more on the first and third Tuesday of each month, every hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The company has already hosted a number of tour groups including school field trips.
