| Description | The Frankfort Half Marathon will begin and end in the beautiful historic district of downtown Frankfort. The race will commence right outside the door of Running Excels on the Old Plank Trail and run westward. After 2.7 miles of running on the scenic, tree-lined Old Plank Trail, the racers will turn off into the Hickory Creek Forest Preserve. The rolling hills of the forest preserve will provide a picturesque tour for the runners as they reach the halfway and turn-around point in the race. The runners will then proceed back through the forest preserve and to the Old Plank Trail for their final journey towards the finish line and the post-race party on the Breidert Green.
