DescriptionFort Dalles Museum is one of the oldest history museums in Oregon. The museum is housed in the 1856 Gothic Revival style Surgeon's quarters and is located on the original Fort Dalles site. Across the street is the restored 1895 Anderson Homestead which has authentic hand-hewn log buildings (house, granary, and barn). The buildings were relocated to the current location from Pleasant Ridge, outside of The Dalles. Both the museum and homestead are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The museum has Antique Vehicles and horse-drawn wagons, Pioneer memorabilia, historic photographs and Native American Artifacts.
