| Description | The Finger Lakes Trail crosses NY State south of the Finger Lakes Region. The main trail is approximately 562 miles beginning in Allegany State Park and ending at the intersection of the Long Path in the Catskills. Several branch trails, loops and spurs add approximately 350 more miles to the system. Visit the FLT website for an overview map. Individual maps or sets of maps may be ordered via the website or by contacting the FLT Office. They may be available is some outdoor stores as well. Horses, bicycles, and motorized vehicles are generally prohibited on the trail. It is for hiking, running, showshoeing and cross country skiing. |
