Name | Film Club: Get Out (Virtual) |
Brief Description | A series of film conversations. |
Type | Activity |
Category | Florida Movie Cinema |
Description | In conjunction with our special exhibit, Picasso and the Allure of the South, we are hosting a series of film conversations focusing on movies that highlight the power of place. This month’s film is Get Out (2017).
It works like this: We assign a movie that is available at a low cost or free on one or more digital platforms; we provide you with some questions to get you thinking as you watch the film; we all watch the film on our own; and then we meet virtually for a Zoom conversation facilitated by a Dalí Museum staff member. This conversation will be curated by our Digital Marketing Coordinator, Kayla Boronell.
Get Out (2017) follows the story of Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, as they reach the meet-the-parents milestone of dating and embark on a weekend getaway. As the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries leads Chris to a truth that he never could have imagined. You can find the film on the following platforms for $3.99 through Microsoft, Vudu, Google Play and $3.99 on Amazon. |
