Description	In conjunction with our exhibit Picasso and the Allure of the South, and in collaboration with the teachers of Keep St. Pete Lit, we invite you to join us for a special evening of writing inspired by art, or ekphrastic writing. In this ekphrastic workshop, we’ll begin with an exclusive viewing of Picasso and the Allure of the South. Afterwards, you’ll use this experience as a jumping off point for a piece of writing. Though storytelling is often a verbal or written presentation, stories surround us in every detail of our lives. Our imaginations soar when we see a whimsical piece, childhood memories are triggered by certain colors and shapes, textures remind us of another time in our lives. Participants will write a one-page ekphrastic story or poem inspired by the exhibit and have the chance to perform their work during the event. Cost: $30 for Museum members \| $40 for non-members
