| Description | This is a two part class, beginning on June 11, 2024 from 6:00-7:00pm. The second part of the class is on June 13, 2024 from 6:00-7:00pm.
Bring out the flower child in us all!
Learn the process of ice-dyeing and create a stunning tapestry or tablecloth using powdered dye and the power of ice to move the colors. Your instructors will guide you through the process of wrapping your cloth with artificial sinew, picking your dye colors, and choice for dispertion before adding ice. Your art piece will be dyed "in the muck" and be ready for rinsing on June 13th. When you come back, you will also try another technique spraying dye directly on a shirt you have brought from home. Your shirt must be mostly cotton, light or white colored (and can be stained). This dye is set once dried and ironed or put in a dryer so you will be able to take both pieces home the final night.
Masks and gloves will be provided for handling dyes. |
