| Description | Down A Country Road features a village of 6 gift shops located in the heart of Wisconsin's largest Old Order Amish community. The village shops are located 2 miles east of Cashton, Wi along state hwy 33. The shops are on the farm of Chuck and Kathy Kuderer (non Amish) and were built by their Amish neighbors and friends. The shops feature a wide array of products brought in by the Amish and other local artisans. You will find hand crafted furniture, quilts, rugs, baskets, home made candies, jams and jellies, soap and lotion products and so much more, including general gift ware, home decor and vintage items. A self guided tour of Amish country is available. Please ask for that at the gift shop any day that we are open.
The gift shops are set among beautiful gardens on the farm. Come enjoy a day in the country as you browse the unique gift shops, have an ice cream cone as you sit among the dazzling beauty of the gardens or sit in the gazebo and gaze at the small pond for a serene and restful break. We are open Monday thru Saturday 9-5 but closed on Sunday, as is everything in the Amish community.
