DescriptionDevils Postpile National Monument is a unique geologic feature, formed by an eruption of basalt lava over 100,000 years ago. The lava cooled uniformly, leaving surface cracks and resulting in thousands of vertical basalt columns. 2011 celebrates Devils Postpile 100th year.

Scenic shuttle bus is mandatory and is fee based. Closed in winter.
