| Description | Delaware's Capital -- Greater Dover -- is less than a tank full of gas from Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, Richmond. We are quickly becoming known as the East Coast Music Capital, as we are hosting the Firefly Music Festival, Big Barrel Music Festival and Delaware Junction Music Festival.
The area offers plenty of history, several free museums, quality lodging, tax-free shopping, dining & entertainment and the Good Libations Tour (three breweries, two wineries and a distillery). Twice a year, we host NASCAR Sprint cup racing. Plus, were only 40 minutes from Delaware's beaches and outlets, yet without the cost of staying in a resort! Geocaching trail and plenty to do whether you're a couple or a family! We even have Amish country to explore, farm markets and quaint downtowns. Come see us!
Other premier events include the Dover Days Festival, first weekend in May; Amish Country Bike Tour, first Saturday after Labor Day; and Delaware Wine and Beer Festival, third Saturday in October. Our office includes the "Best of Kent County" art gallery featuring paintings and prints of local sites. |
