Description | The Culinary Center in Lincoln City is a great place to explore your culinary side. From cook-offs to classes there's something to fit everyone's experience level. How about a company teambuilding class or a private class for your friends or family? The Culinary Center can arrange a cooking experience just for your group!The Culinary Center focuses on the abundant foods of the Pacific Northwest. They feature locally grown and raised foods...from organic vegetables to grass-fed natural meats, prairie-raised chickens, and of course, the Oregon coast's vast array of fresh seafood and shellfish. The Culinary Center also strengthens the connection between food producers and the consumerthrough a field trip to an oyster farm or having a farmer help teach a class.Their classes offer a wide array of subjects and cuisines. In a demonstration class it's your job to sit back, relax, and enjoy the wonderful food and wine while you learn from a pro. Or dive right into one of our hands-on classesfrom pasta-making to fish cookery, dim sum, tamales, pizza, sushi, and even pickling and canning our Oregon harvest in the summer and fall. In April and October, as part of a city-wide Learning Feast, the Culinary Center is holding week-long cooking classes on Oregon ocean harvests, regional French and Italian cooking, and Pacific Northwest cooking.The Culinary Center is also home to four cook-offs a year: Jambalaya, Fish Taco, Wild Mushroom and Chowder, all featuring Pacific Northwest ingredients. These free, festival-like events are a great way to try out some of our great coastal restaurants. They also host ReadySETCook!, a charity cook-off in March that pits local chefs against each other with a mystery ingredient and only 30 minutes.Planning a family outing to the beach?
