DescriptionEnjoy an authentic railroading experience as you travel on historical routes from our 1874 train station in North Conway Village to either Conway or Bartlett. Conway route is an 11 mile round trip train ride for visitors wanting an shorter train ride. Bartlett is a 21 mile round trip that offers a longer and more relaxing ride that takes you "over the river and through the woods"

On the Mountaineer to Crawford Notch you will experience some of the most natural scenery in the East. Here you will pass sheer cliffs, steep ravines, cascading brooks and streams, panoramic mountain vistas as you travel across the Frankenstein Trestle and Willey Brook Bridge, all en route to Crawford and Fabyan Stations. You will also appreciate the remarkable engineering achievement constructing this railroad over 140 years ago. This train experience is 5 hours round trip to Crawford or mid September five and a half to Fabyan Station.

Both the Valley Train and Mountaineer offer Lunch in our Dining cars. Twilight dining is available on our two hour Bartlett excursion which departs at 6:30pm Tuesday through Saturday evenings.
