| Description | The Annual Clamshell Railroad Days celebrates the history of the Ilwaco Railway and Navigation Company (IR&N) Railroad -- the only railroad that ran with the tides -- which operated on the Long Beach Peninsula from 1889-1930. Tour the Pullman Passenger car NAHCOTTA and hear Conductor Bob’s stories of riding the narrow rails of the Peninsula. Included are model railroad layouts from regional clubs, historical presentations, the kids craft caboose and a bus tour. Entrance to Clamshell Railroad Days is $5 and includes a souvenir pin and Museum entrance for 2 days, kids under 12 are free. |
