Description | Our museum offers real history with a fun twist. Our dioramas show Civil War scenes with historical detail and accuracy--but every soldier is a hand-sculpted miniature cat! The dioramas include Fort Sumter, the battle between the ironclad ships USS Monitor and CSS Virginia (Merrimack), Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg, and much more. Each diorama shows a specific point in time, and the cat-soldiers are made to-scale, so one cat-soldier represents one soldier, not ten or twenty, helping you to see what the action might have looked like.
The museum is in a self-guided, free-flowing format, but since we are family-owned and operated, the creators of the dioramas are usually available to answer any questions you have and to guide you through the museum, if you prefer a personal tour. |
