Description | The earthwork fortification was built by Union Soldiers to defend the ford and ferry at Boonesboro. A scenic trail provides a beautiful view of the Kentucky River. Little remains of the earthen fort built by the Union Army to defend the Kentucky River from advancing Confederate Troops. Self guided tours daily. We also offer Cell Phone Tours of the Civil War Fort at Boonesboro.
