Description | Author, poet and journalist, Brian D’Ambrosio, Helena, Montana, will be the Artist-in-Residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum, 212 S. Main St., Lindsborg, January 21 through March 01. D’Ambrosio will be working on a pair of books during his residency: “Montana Murders: Notorious and Unsolved” (Riverbend Publishing, June 2020) and “Remarkable Women of Kansas: Pioneers, Poets and Politicians” (Arcadia Publishing, 2021). The subjects in the Kansas book will include biographies of figures such as Kate Richards O’Hare, a noted activist imprisoned for opposing World War I and Eva Jessye, an African-American from Coffeyville who received international distinction as a professional choral conductor.” D’Ambrosio received his Bachelor’s degees in Public Relations from Suny Plattsburgh, New York and Journalism at the University of Montana.
