DescriptionThe Brattleboro Museum & Art Center presents art and ideas in ways that inspire, educate, and engage people of all ages. Galleries are open from year round with occasional closings, everyday except Tuesday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. A private, non-profit organization founded in 1972, BMAC is a non-collecting museum which produces changing exhibitions of current art. The Activity Gallery presents exhibits and related activities for the whole family. Programs complement the calendar. Docent tours are available by pre-arrangement. The Museum Shop carries wonderful items to complete a visit. Some visitor comments: "This museum is a gem. It’s small enough to see the entire group of shows, but varied enough in its selection to include a rich set of experiences." "Our favorite place to visit every year. Our children love the crafts. They tell all their classmates back in California about the exhibits & art."
