Description | Located on 35 subtropical acres between A1A & the Intracoastal Waterway just South of Sunrise Blvd. Bonnet House was the winter estate of two American artists, Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett, whose unconventional personal touches are evident throughout the property. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Landmark by the City of Fort Lauderdale the house was built in 1920. Visitors can walk where ancient Tequesta Indians, early European settlers, and shipwrecked sailors once roamed. |
