As we celebrate more than 75 years of fine winemaking, our family invites you to taste our award-winning wines and experience the long tradition and dramatic beauty of this internationally-acclaimed appellation. We welcome you to visit our Historic Soquel winery and tasting room in this distinctive region of mountain vineyards and coastal breezes. Or you may visit our tasting room located in Monterey on Cannery Row.

BARGETTO WINERY specializes in wines from the Santa Cruz Mountains. The mountainous, cool climate region is host to low yielding vineyards which produce wines of richness and intensity. The winery produces Pinot Noir, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay that reveal intensity of fruit flavor and natural acidities. Using handcrafted techniques, these wines are created to maximize fruit expression and longevity.
With its long winemaking tradition in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the Bargetto Family produces a special wine called LA VITA, (meaning "the life" in Italian). LA VITA is a unique blend of northern Italian red varietals which are all grown in our Regan Estate Vineyard. The varietals which make up LA VITA are Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, and Refosco. This premium wine was aged for two years in oak barrels and puncheons and then aged an additional two years in the bottle prior to release.
The winery also produces fresh fruit wines. For over forty years, CHAUCER'S wines have been the centerpiece of many memorable menus and occasions. CHAUCER'S wines help rediscover the magic of traditional flavors. CHAUCER'S Mead, Raspberry Mead, Pomegranate, Raspberry and Blackberry are produced with 100% fresh fruit or honey with no artificial colors or flavors added.
Both tasting rooms are open daily, taste a flight of Bargetto Wine on your next trip to Monterey or Santa Cruz. Tours of our Historic Soquel Winery must be scheduled in advance.
