Factory Tours in Alabama

Why take a factory tour? Taking a factory tour is a great opportunity to observe how products are made. They are a great learning experience, often with an opportunity to sample the products right off of the assembly line. For example, if you take the Ben and Jerry’s Factory Tour in Stowe VT, not only will you watch the video of how the company was started, you’ll tour the ice cream plant, the lab where they create new flavors, and at the end, you’ll taste a sample of ice cream!

Whether you are looking for something to do on a rainy day, or just want to learn “how do they make that?”, why not add a factory tour to your itinerary? Most tours are less than two hours long, and are a great educational event for families, groups and school field trips. If planning to attend a factory tour with a large group, be sure to call ahead and make a group reservation. Individual visitors or small group walk-ins usually don’t require a reservation, but be sure to check the factory tour hours. Many tours are seasonal, or limited to week days. Another thing to note is that some factory tours are free, and others require an admission fee. Fees may vary depending on group size.

Take a factory tour and learn something new!
