Such notable examples would include the Southwest Gourd Fine Art Show, the Texas Furniture Makers Show, and the 87th Annual National Watercolor Society Traveling Exhibition. Very nice gift shop with "made in Texas" items. Plan to park your car, enjoy the exhibit, then roam the downtown area. Across the street is a fabulous bookstore, Wolfmueller's, there are shops and galleries and the Sunrise Antique Mall adjacent, and if you visit on Wed-Sat afternoons, the adjacent Hill Country Museum is open from 1:30-4:30. Great places to dine include Pampell's and Francisco's, along with a number of cafes and delis.

The Tube Rental is located at City Park and next to the Texas National Guard Armory. Proceeds from this and other projects allow the Lions Clubs to support many charities and educational opportunities for students. Due to parking restrictions at the Rio Vista Dam, all tube rentals must include a taxi ride. Float trip takes about 1 hour. Please bring a photo ID (School ID or Drivers License) to rent tubes. $7.00/single tube and $9.00/single tube with bottom ($15.00 deposit per tube required).
