Steubenville Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitor information for Steubenville, Ohio
Category: Steubenville Tourism in Ohio
Description of this Ohio Visitor Information entry: Visit Steubenville – City of Murals, City of History, and City of Fun!
Take a tour of our twenty-five murals, where you will find our city's rich history painted on outside walls in larger-than-life proportions.
Step back in time to the beginning of the westward movement at the reconstructed Historic Fort Steuben, which depicts 18th century military life. Originally built in 1787, Fort Steuben helped open the Northwest Territory by protecting government surveyors who laid out the first Seven Ranges. Get a glimpse of frontier life in Ohio at the First Federal Land Office, an original log cabin built in 1801.
See how animations are designed and created at Creegan Animation Factory, one of the world's largest manufacturers of animated and costume characters. Spend the day shopping for bargains at Treasure Island Marketplace, our area's largest indoor marketplace and flea market.
Time your visit to enjoy one of Steubenville's lively festivals, such as the Dean Martin Festival, where our favorite celebrity is honored by his hometown. The Ohio Valley Pioneer Days and Grecian Food Festival offer food and fun for the entire family.
Visitor information - such as attractions brochures, maps, lodging, events calendars and more - is available at the Visitors Center, located in Fort Steuben Park at 120 South Third Street, Steubenville. Visitor Center hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm. Or go to the Steubenville CVB website at www.visitsteubenville.com .
