Groucho: A Life in Revue - Live On Stage!, Nov 12, 2009 to Nov 28, 2009 - This Month Award-winning, musical about Groucho Marx!
Category: 7 locations in The Delaware Valley Theater event in New Jersey
Description of this New Jersey Event: GROUCHO - A Life in Revue
11.12.08 - 11.28.08
By: Arthur Marx & Robert Fisher
This unparalleled rags-to-riches story of America’s funniest entertainer, Groucho Marx, has been described by The New York Times as "Artful…there is laughter in abundance." The New York Post dubbed it "hilarious." Audiences have cheered all over the world for the stage sensation Groucho: A Life in Revue. This award-winning, musical mirth-quake takes a look at the Marx Brothers’ bitter sweet journey through life as seen from the half nostalgic, half sardonic kaleidoscope eyes of their outrageous verbal master wit, Groucho! Featuring musical numbers throughout, the score captures the very comic genius and wildness of The Marx Brothers’ themselves! Relive the memories of Animal Crackers to You Bet Your Life, now forever immortalized through a performance that has been deemed as “nothing short of mesmerizing.” Starring The Collaborative Act Studio’s Founder/Producing Artistic Director, Ted Wioncek III as the legendary Groucho Marx, along with Brian Walsh (Chico), Shawn O’Brien (Harpo), Christine Peltz and Samantha Morrone. Wioncek, Walsh and Peltz are no strangers to their Marxian counterparts. First in Stage’s production of A Day In Hollywood/A Night In Ukraine, and most recently in The Cocoanuts at The Broadway Theatre of Pitman, they've wreaked comedic havoc on stage and in the audience night after night.
“Forget the fact that Wioncek wasn’t even alive at the same time Marx was – his connection to the famed master of wit is genuine” – Nicole Pensiero, Courier-Post.
Now, they’re at it again... bringing you a whole other side of the original mad men of mirth. Performance dates;
Nov. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 27, 28 @ 8:00 pm & Nov. 15, 21 @ 2:00 pm.

A John Waters Christmas, Dec 18, 2009 - Next Month John Waters’ one-man show is a "vaudeville" act.
Category: New Brunswick Theater event in New Jersey
Description of this New Brunswick Event: Fri, December 18, 2009 at 8pm
John Waters’ one-man show is a "vaudeville" act that celebrates his incredible filmmaking career with a provocative and devious monologue that takes the audience on a wonderfully misbehaved trip to the extremes of the contemporary art world, where it can share in Waters’ fascination with true crime, trash, and exploitation films—a journey where absolutely nothing is sacred.
John Waters is the quintessence of cult films and the ‘midnight movies’ phenomenon, and his films—which range from Mondo Trasho, Pink Flamingos, and Female Trouble, via the original Hairspray that inspired the successful Broadway show of the same name, to A Dirty Shame and Cry Baby, the breakthrough-film of a tender-faced Johnny Depp, are eternal classics.
This performance includes Adult Content not suitable for children.
Tickets: $27-47
