2009 New Hampshire Lions Haunted House
“scare the yell out of you”

Description of this Manchester Activity: The 2009 edition of the New Hampshire Lions haunted house is set to “scare the yell out of you” at the Merchant's Auto . Com Stadium the home of the Fisher Cats on week-ends starting Friday, October 23rd thru the 25th, and the 30th thru the 31st . The hours of operation on Fridays and Saturdays are from 6PM thru 10PM and on Sunday from 5PM to 9PM. Nearly 100 volunteers will be there to ensure your safe but chill-filled half hour journey into the unknown. All 13 rooms divided into 3 haunted areas are enclosed for your comfort rain or moon. Proceeds will benefit the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of New Hampshire. Admission is $15. Tickets are available at the door. Due to the intense nature of the haunted house, it is not recommended for ages eight or younger. Special shows with an American Sign Language interpreter for the hearing impaired and for the visually impaired will be held hourly on October 25th. Face your fears at the NH Lions Haunted House. We’ll be waiting for you!

Description of this Concord area Activity: This survival program is sponsored by The Little Nature Museum located at Gould Hill Orchards, Contoocook, NH. It takes place at the Museum on August 15th, rain or shine. There are two age groups: grades 2 - 4,( a parent and child must attend together; no charge for accompanying parent.)at 11 AM - 12:30 PM. For grades 5-7, the program is 1:30 to 4PM. Cost is: $7, museum members and $10 nonmembers including a take-home survival pack. Preregistration is required by calling 603-746-6121). Enrollment is limited. The program is taught by Rudy Bourget who is currently certified in Wilderness First Aid, has studied primitive outdoor and wilderness survival skills for over 40 yrs., and has been very active in Boy and Cub Scout leadership and training for nearly 20 years. Rudy has been a volunteer EMT on the Weare Rescue Squad and has been a volunteer First Aid Instructor for the Manchester Chapter of the American Red Cross. He has also assisted the NH Fish and Game Dept.'s Hunter Safety program for six years teaching Survival and First Aid.
