Description of this Manchester Attraction: The SEE Science Center engages visitors through interactive exhibits which demonstrate scientific principles. SEE is also home to the LEGO Millyard Project, the world's largest permanent installation of LEGO brick at mini-figure scale. Complete with running water, trains with mini-cameras, and more than 6,000 mini-figures, the LEGO Millyard is a representation of the Amoskeag Mills around the beginning of the last century. SEE also offers birthday parties, overnights, mini-courses and an out-reach program.

Description of this Concord area Attraction: The Museum, located in a 200 year-old barn at Gould Hill Orchards, includes interactive collections, trails (one designed for young children), and educational programs. The collections include, rocks, minerals, fossils, sea life, insects, Indian artifacts, mounted birds and mammals, and plants. There are interpretive exhibits and hands-on activities for all ages to enjoy. The Museum will feature several new exhibits in 2009. The Museum is open seasonally (see littlenaturemuseum.org for 2009 calendar. This year the Museum is offering two survival classes: "Child Survival: Teaching Your Child to Survive Getting Lost in the Woods" on August 15; "Map and Compass Workshop" on Oct. 17 (raindate Oct. 18); see website for details. A free "NatureFest 2009" will be held on Sept. 12 and 13 with special exhibits, demonstrations, nature activities with prizes for children, guided and self-guided trail walks, hayrides,and museum tours. On Sept. 12, from 10 - 11:30 AM, a workshop entitled "HikeSmart" will be held;on Sept. 13, an "Edible Wild Plants" workshop will be held. At 1:30PM both days, WIldlife Encounters Traveling Zoo" will present a wild animal program. Details are on the website. Fun for the whole family!
