Wabasha Street Cave Tours
Caves made into nightclub where gangsters wined & dined

Category:     St. Paul Aquarium near Twin Cities, Minnesota

Description of this Twin Cities area Attraction: Once "The Castle Royal" Nightclub, now a private event facility. On the tour you will hear the stories of the gangsters and ghosts that haunt these caves in the bluffs of Saint Paul. In the 1930's, when it was a popular nightclub, it was the place for the underworld mobsters to wine & dine with the locals when Saint Paul was a "safe haven". Ghost sightings? Yes, ever since a 1934 mob shooting in the caves. This tour has been seen on the Discovery Channel & History Channel, and has been chosen by Travelocity as a 2005 "Local Secret, Big Find". Don't miss this fun filled look into the past. Tour times: Thursdays at 5 pm, Saturday & Sundays at 11 am.
