Another Second Penny Inn, Non Smoking Rooms, Continental Breakfast Charming 300 Year Old Colonial Home Near Mystic
Category: Stonington Bed and Breakfast near Mystic Country, Connecticut
Description of this Mystic Country area Accommodation: It is said, “If you have two pennies, with the first buy bread and with the second buy hyacinths for your soul.” Another Second Penny Inn, a 1710 colonial home, offers three large guestrooms, private jetted baths, fireplaces, gardens and quiet country setting near the heart of Mystic.
Another Second Penny Inn is within three miles of downtown Mystic, historic Stonington Borough, the Aquarium, and the Seaport. Our home sits on 4 1/2 acres of gardens, fields and forest offering excellent opportunities for quiet, romantic walks, secluded hideaways for reading and the ambience of a home that has for three centuries provided shelter and respite.
Our guestrooms are beautifully appointed including such amenities as fluffy bathrobes, hair dryers, custom toiletries, individual refrigerators (stocked with bottled water and soda) and irons and ironing boards. Two of our guestrooms are furnished with four poster queen beds, jetted clawfoot tubs and fireplaces. The third room can be made up as either a king bed or two twins as the guest prefers; the bath is a tub/shower combination. In the dining room, coffee, decaf, and hot water for tea and hot chocolate are always available along with fresh baked cookies, tea bread or other goodies.
Breakfast is an event not to be missed! Guests delight in such regional favorites as Anadama bread, scrambled crab, johnnycakes, baked ham, thick cut bacon, homemade muffins and many other wonderful foods. The five courses ensure that no one leaves the table wanting for anything! On Sundays, early and late morning sittings are offered to accommodate late-sleeping guests and church-going innkeepers.
