Description of this Tennessee Activity: Quest Expeditions has been offering premium whitewater rafting trips and exceeding expectations since 1983. Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting with friends and family creating memories for a lifetime!
Our Middle Ocoee Trip is 5 miles of the most continuous class III/IV whitewater in the U.S.; it runs through the beautiful Cherokee National Forest where you will experience the thrill of over 17 major rapids. Plan 4 hours from check-in to departure with approx. 2 hours on the river. This section runs everyday except Tuesdays & Wednesdays in June, July & August; weekends in the April, May, Sept & Oct.
The Upper Ocoee Trip is 5 miles of class III/IV whitewater and runs through the 1996 Olympic whitewater competition course. This section offers great scenery and of course big whitewater! Plan 4.5 hours from check-in to departure with approx. 1 hour 45 minutes on the river. This section is available on select Saturdays in July and August.
Our premium trip is the Full River Trip which combines both the Upper & Middle sections of the Ocoee for a world-class whitewater adventure. You will be treated to a fantastic riverside lunch served next to Humongous, one of the largest rapids on the river. Lunch includes 4 deli meats, cheeses & breads with all the trimmings to create your own sandwiches, along with peel-n-eat shrimp, fresh fruit, pasta salad, chips, cookies & drinks. A snack and bottled water are available after your trip. Plan 7 hours with us from check-in to departure with approx. 5 hours on the river. This trip is available on Saturdays & Sundays in June, July and August; select Saturdays & Sundays in May & Sept.
No experience is necessary for our Ocoee rafting adventures as a trained guide accompanies each raft. Minimum age to participate is 12 years of age.

Description of this Tennessee Attraction: The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a 2,174-mile footpath along the ridgecrests and across the major valleys of the Appalachian Mountains from Katahdin in Maine to Springer Mountain in northern Georgia. The trail traverses Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) is used by day, weekend and other short-term hikers, section-hikers and thru-hikers. Thru-hikers hike the entire length of the Trail in one season.
The A.T. began as a vision of forester Benton MacKaye and was developed by volunteers and opened as a continuous trail in 1937. It was designated as the first National Scenic Trail by the National Trails System Act of 1968. The Trail is currently protected along more than 99 percent of its course by federal or state ownership of the land or by rights-of-way. Description of this Tennessee Attraction: The free-flowing Big South Fork of the Cumberland River and its tributaries pass through 90 miles of scenic gorges and valleys containing a wide range of natural and historic features. Shiloh National Military Park National Park

Description of this Tennessee Attraction: Shiloh National Military Park was established in 1894 to preserve the scene of the first major battle in the Western theater of the Civil War. The two-day battle, April 6 and 7, 1862, involved about 65,000 Union and 44,000 Confederate troops. This battle resulted in nearly 24,000 killed, wounded, and missing. It proved to be a decisive victory for the federal forces when they advanced on and seized control of the Confederate railway system at Corinth, Mississippi. The battlefield contains about 4,000 acres and has within its boundaries the Shiloh National Cemetery along with the well preserved prehistoric Indian mounds that are listed as a historic landmark. The park is located in Hardin County, on the west bank of the Tennessee River, and about nine miles south of Savannah, Tennessee.
