Enlarge	Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum Home of America's Railroad Legend Category: Jackson Museum in Tennessee Description of this Jackson Attraction: The legend lives on in Jackson, Tennessee at the historic home of America's most famous railroad engineer, Casey Jones. Unlike Paul Bunyan and other folk heroes, Casey Jones was a real person who lived in Jackson. He gave his life April 30th, 1900 to save the lives of his passengers on Engine #382. His story was made famous around the world with "The Ballad of Casey Jones". His original 1890's home is now a museum dedicated to the brave men and women of the railroad. Tour the all new expansion that opened in the summer of 2009 including a 8,000 square foot Train Station building with a theatre, new exhibit halls and more. Climb aboard a 130 ton replica of #382 and ring the bell just like Casey. Visit the official new gift shop too - The Casey Jones Train Store. Museum hours 9 am to 5 pm daily January to March and April to December open 9 am to 8 pm. Located in Casey Jones Village in Jackson, Tennessee. The Best Whistlestop between Memphis & Nashville. Enlarge	International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame Museum of Rock-a-billy Memorabilia and Hall of Fame Category: Jackson Museum in Tennessee Description of this Jackson Attraction: A resource center dedicated to preserving and promoting rock-a-billy music. The Hall of Fame recognizes the pioneers of the music while the museum displays the memorabilia reflecting it's heritage and it's influence on today's music. Annual Rock-A-Billy Music Festival is held early of August (Thur-Sat) of each year.

The Museum's permanent collection includes photographs, artifacts, and related memorabilia associated with the 14 railroads that have been in Jackson over the years. Also located on the grounds are an FEC dining car and two cabooses open for view.
