Description of this Erie Attraction: Asbury Woods Nature Center is a public nature center open year round in Erie. Over 8,400 school students attended full day environmental education programs at the Nature Center in 2006. Another 10,336 public visitors attend day camps, festival, musical events and educational programs this past year. Over 64,000 visitors come to see the live animal exhibits, historical exhibits, watershed exhibits and gardens at the Nature Center and Brown's Farm each year. Thousands of hikers, joggers, mountain bikers, cross country skiers, fisherman and nature enthusiasts use the 4.5 miles of nature trails that cross the park. The trails are open year round, daylight hours and there is no fee to use the trails or visit the indoor exhibits.
