Year-Round Events, Parties & Tours - By Appt.
We provide tours on weekdays, evenings and host events in our barn during public hours. We are open most of the year, depending on your event. Please call for details to reserve the farm for your next event!
This year's maze is a salute to the All-American Barn! The barn is just over 400' tall and is a replica of our Gambrel-Bankfront Barn at the Market. It is complete to scale - including the x's on the doors and windows. To the right of the barn is the Stand logo - we are saluting their stand against tobacco! The informational signs to help you find your way through the maze explain the history of barns, all about corn & pumpkins and what the Stand is all about.
Note: When you come to Sweetapple Farm, long sleeves and long pants with no opened-toed shoes should be worn on your adventure through the corn maze.
For 2004: We will be hosting "Flashlight nights" in the maze on Friday evenings until 10PM. Each group must contain an adult. Please call the farm for details. (There is no haunted corn maze.)
The Ag-tivity Center is the chance for everyone to have a little fun and learn about farmers and what they do. Where does food come from? Why does a cow sit around and chew like she has gum in her mouth? (and if she has gum, why doesn’t she blow bubbles?) How does a cow make milk? How in the world do they get thick butter out of that liquid milk? These and more questions will be answered for all with fun milk mustache posters, games, coloring, butter making (display only) and more!
Food is available at different times of the year for different events. We will list details of food items as time permits! Most of the time you can get a cold soda and snack. In autumn, you can get coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino, and much more!
Food This Autumn!
Hot Dogs - Nachos - Candy Corn Mix - Hot Cider
Cappuccino - Coffee - Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream
Apples - Cider - Popcorn - Candy - Sodas

Hosting children at the farm is a great way for us to share our farming experiences with future generations! We provide a fun and educational excursion for elementary schools, preschools, day-care groups and playgroups. Tours for preschool are best scheduled before October 15 because of questionable weather in late October. Most tours include the following and can be tailored to meet your groups’ needs:
Mona’s Moo-ving Hayride The hayride consists of a drive through the pasture to feed the milk cows, to learn about the different breeds of dairy cows and more!
The ‘All-American Barn’ Corn Maze The corn maze is great this year! It is a salute to All-American Barns and the Stand group. Signs throughout the maze give educational information - and there is a worksheet to go along with it. This is a guided tour – can be from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your groups’ schedule. For late in the season - we can have an alternative to this if it gets muddy (caused if we have an early frost.)
