The museum reflects the fascinating background of Bob Evans, Inc., along with the history of the Homestead and Gallia County. The large, brick farmhouse, housing the Museum, features lifelike displays and family memorabilia. Guest of the museum may sit at the reconstructed counter of the original Steakhouse, owned by Bob Evans, and see a reproduction of Bob and Jewell Evans, "at work", filming their first television ads.

Description of this Gallipolis Attraction: The French Art Colony, a regional multi-arts center, occupies the historic 1855 Greek Revival house, "Riverby", which serves as a focal point for the community. The Art Colony hosts public events, entertains visiting dignitaries and welcomes visitors. The site dates back to 1796, when the property was initially sold for $50.00 to father and son, Peter Marret Sr. and Peter Marret Jr.. In 1858, Dr. and Mrs. George Livesay completed the three-story brick house, purchased in 1918 by Dr. and Mrs. Charles E. Holzer Sr. The galleries are free and open to the public.

Description of this Gallipolis Attraction: John and Barbara Gee, William and Eliza Napper, Leah STewart, Nancy Bell and John and Lorain Gwen, organized the John Gee African American Methodist Episcopal Chapel in 1818. The purpose of the Center is to establish a cultural and educational center to insure the preservation of tradition, culture, crafts, music and art of the Black Americans in Southeastern Ohio and to educate our diverse people about Black Traditions and about the past and present contribtutions of Black Americans to this country with emphasis on Southeastern Ohio.

Description of this Gallipolis Attraction: The Our House Museum, a restored tavern, originally owned by Henry Cushing and his sister Elizabeth, is in Gallipolis. It was the center of the community's social life for many years. General Lafayette, on his triumphant tour of America, was entertained there on Sunday, May 22, 1825. In 1933, Dr. and Mrs. Charles E. Holzer Sr., bought the property and furnished it. In 1936, the house opened as a public museum and was given by the Holzers to the Ohio Historical Society in 1944.

Description of this Gallipolis area Attraction: The Madog Center for Welsh Studies is an outgrowth of the early Welsh-American settlements that have surrounded the University of Rio Grande for nearly 200 years. The mission of the Center is to support the scholarly study of Welsh and Welsh-American culture, history, arts and humantities in North America, through language, music, art, literature, film and drama. The Center has strong links with Wales and offers Rio students the chance to study in Wales, at the Trinity College, Carmarthen.
