Description of this Jamaica area Activity: AUTHORS' PLAYHOUSE brings quality entertainment to the South Shore region of Long Island's Suffolk County. A key contributor to the continuing revitalization of downtown Bay Shore, AP is a professional community theatre spotlighting local talent in original, classical and popular plays. Authors' Playhouse also reaches out to serve special segments of the local audience, including senior citizens and the Hispanic community. In addition, AP presents a robust line-up of children's theatre productions.
We offer a full educational program of acting, stagecraft and playwriting, youth outreach programs, and special musical, comedy and other events. All of these elements, plus adult-education workshops and high school internships are part of our invitation to YOU.
