Description of this Lincoln-Woodstock area Activity: Waterville Valley, NH- There is nothing like fall in New England. To complement the brilliant fall foliage, Waterville Valley’s Town Square has scheduled two days of family activities on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, 2009.
Saturday events are full of activities for families of all ages, including a free outdoor concert, carnival rides, outdoor barbeque, Curious George Story time, merchant tent sales, kids games, crafts, Black & Blue Trail Smashers Ski swap, and huge Sport Thoma Tent Sale. On Sunday, there is a 5K-road race and a 1.6K family fun race, pie-eating contest, outdoor barbeque, the Travelin’ Barnyard petting zoo, pumpkin painting, free outdoor concert, merchant tent sales, Black & Blue Trail Smashers Ski swap, and Sport Thoma Tent Sale. The winners of the annual Waterville Valley Scarecrow contest will be announced.
The hotels of Waterville Valley Resort will offer a package deal that includes two nights lodging, $50 in Town Square bucks, and Summer Unlimited activities starting at $63 per person, per night based on quad-occupancy. The resort is mere steps from the nation’s oldest network of hiking trails.
