We feature area family history in our county history books, as well as one of the best collections of Native American and Cowboy photography from western North Dakota. If you like Cowboy Poetry, ask for Chris the Curator. He'll be glad to throw down a rhyme or two by classic cowboy poets such as Badger Clark, S. Omar Barker, Wallace McCrae, and Waddie Mitchell. A peaceful afternoon can be spent viewing our buildings, including an old-fashioned log cabin, and weather-beaten homesteader shack. We have a nice walking path around our grounds where you can search for your own Knife River flint. Let the sounds of the Meadowlark and the aroma of sage and pine soothe your weary, traveler's soul.
