Description of this Mississippi Restaurant: The Blue Parrot Café offers fine latin cuisine from the countries of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Italy. Set in the 100-year-old, recently completely renovated Three Deuces Building (the former Hotel Greenwood) and situated in Historic Downtown Greenwood, Mississippi, the Blue Parrot Café offers a menu of freshly prepared-from-scratch-to-order appetizers, soups, salads and entreés...all reasonably priced. Four people can expect to dine for around $100. A full service bar offering unique mixed drinks, including Greenwood's only signature drink - the rum-based Blue Parrot - also offers fine wines and both foreign and domestic bottled beers. At no additional charge, live music of exceptionally high calibre augments the dining experience. Open irregularly for holidays and special events only. Three Deuces is named after the famous Chicago nightclub where jazz piano genius Art Tatum once held forth. Description of this Mississippi Restaurant: Veronica's - Custom Bakery is located in the recently completely renovated Three Deuces building in Historic Downtown Greenwood, Mississippi. It opens at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast to service the working crowd from local government and law offices, banks and businesses nearby, as well as travelers and tourists via its wireless as well as six ethernet cable DSL ports located across its front, just inside the three sets of massive Spanish cedar double doors. Breakfast favorites include Eggs Benedict and authentic Huevos Rancheros. Unusual pastries and breakfast breads are made fresh daily and offered with your choice of a variety of foreign and domestic coffees. Any pie or cake will be made to order on premises. An exquisite lunch of home-made soup, fresh green salad and the best chicken salad around, also roast beef, ham & cheese or turkey & cheese, are all available on croissant, French or Veronica's famous sun-dried tomato bread and her Jalapeño cheese bread. Their Mexican Burger has been a local favorite for years. Evening meals are available in the afternoon or as takeout for those who wish to dine at home after 5 pm.
