Sally Struthers makes her much-anticipated return to Bloomington Civic Theatre (after a highly-successful starring engagement in Hello, Dolly! in 2003) as Miss Mona, head of a little Texas brothel known as the Chicken Ranch. When the Ranch becomes the target of crusading do-gooders, Miss Mona and her “staff” are thrown into chaos, along with a cast of characters that includes a sheriff, a senator and a governor. Will the Chicken Ranch be shut down? Hilarity abounds with such songs as Texas Has A Whorehouse In It, Hard Candy Christmas and Bus From Amarillo.(See individual press release.)
"Follies" (Nov. 3-27, 2005)
Gathering at their old theater on the eve of its demolition, generations of the Weisman Follies pay homage to their theatrical roots. Against the backdrop of their past, two couples in particular, Ben and Phyllis, and Buddy and Sally, find themselves confronting their history. Using dream sequences interspersed with current events, the Twin Cities premiere of this show, with score by Stephen Sondheim, features Broadway Baby, Too Many Mornings, I’m Still Here, Losing My Mind and Beautiful Girls. (See individual press release.)
"Jesus Christ Superstar" (Feb. 3-26, 2006)
Chronicling the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth as seen through the eyes of his disciple, Judas Iscariot, Jesus Christ Superstar is a powerful tour-de-force encompassing the passions of jealousy, trickery and martyrdom. Furious that the man from Nazareth will be remembered as a “superstar,” Judas comes to a tragic end. Songs include Jesus Christ Superstar, I Don’t Know How to Love Him, The Last Supper and Heaven On Their Minds. (See individual press release.)
"Wonderful Town" (April 28-May 21, 2006)

Ruth, an aspiring writer, and Eileen, a fledgling actress, take up residence in a bustling neighborhood populated by quaint characters including their landlord, a former football player, a lady of the night, and a newspaper editor. Leonard Bernstein’s score features Christopher Street, My Darlin’ Eileen and the clever Pass That Football. (See individual press release.)
